Oh ! You just got here and you don't know where to start your journey ? 

 Okay ! First of all you have to know that Brasov is not the smallest town in Romania , so it would be quite hard to walk around the city all day . On this page we will present you some options for transportation.

 1. RATBV ( Bus )

 We all agree that the most convenient way to travel is by Bus.

 Advantages : 

 - Until you arrive to your destination you can see a lot of sceneries trough the window 
- It's cheap
- You can arrive to your destination fast
- Usually every 10 minute a new bus arrives 

 Disadvantages :

- Agglomeration
- Some buses don't have air conditioning system
- Rude controllers
- Angry / rude / pushy old people

Price : A bus ticket with 2 journeys : 4 RON  ( a journey is available 50 minutes ) 
           A bus pass for 1 month : 70 RON / Students 50% off

2.TAXI ( Cab ) 

 Advantages : 

 - Fast transportation 
- Looking out the window you can observe sceneries of the city

 Disadvantages : 

 - Rude drivers 
- Tricky drivers ( you have to pay attention ) 
- On rainy days it's very hard to find a cab 

 Price : Depends on the Taxi Brand : Usually : 1,93 RON/KM ( not always ) 

 3. UBER 
We are not familiar with the UBER application. But you can use it in Brasov city. 

 4. BICYCLE

 Advantages :

 - You can see a lot from the city 
- Helps to maintain a healthy body 
- Cheap 

 Price :  5 RON/ 1Hour
           25 RON/1 Day 

!!! YOU NEED AN ID !!!

 Disadvantages : 

 - There are only a few roads for bicycle riders
- Unpleasant on rainy days

5. Last but not least , you can walk and enjoy every moment of your journey .

Hello! We are 4 students from Brasov, and we decided to make this blog for everyone who is planning to come to Brasov. On this blog we provide you information about the representative sights of Brasov along with some tips to get around the city. Besides us providing you information, you can also write us an email if you want us to come along with you trough the city and give you a more in depth tour of the city.  You might be wondering how we got this idea, and if we are qualified to provide you information about our city. This blog started of as a school project and we decided to keep it so we can help other people. Also, we are all volunteer tour guides at the Black Church. This means that we went to a several month course where we were taught a lot about the city, and especially about the Black Church, so we would say that we can provide you lot of information about the city, maybe more in depth than you can find anywhere else.

Tâmpa    is a mountain, part of the  Postăvarul  Massif , located in the southern part of the  Eastern Carpathians  (alternatively categorized as in the  Curvature Carpathians ) and almost entirely surrounded by the city of  Braşov . Its elevation is 960 m (995 m according to some sources), almost 400 m above the city.   The mountain is mostly made up of  limestone  formations, having risen up gradually from the Earth's  crus t .   Most of the mountain (1.5 km²) is a declared  nature reserve , due to the rare animal species ( bears ,  birds ,  butterflies —35% of  Romanian  butterfly species) and plant species (a rare  Liverleaf  variety,  Transylvanian   Windgrass ) that are found there. A number of routes to the summit exist: there are 25 winding paths cut in 1837 by  Brașov's  forest administration;  Gabony's  stairs; the Knights' road, dating to the days of the  Brașovia  citadel; and an auto road. Poiana Brasov

Poiana Brașov   is one of the most popular Romanian ski resorts. It's an important tourist centre preferred by many tourists not only from Romania, but also from other countries. In 2013, it hosted figure skating, alpine skiing and short track in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. It is located at about 1,020 meters (3,379 feet) above sea level near the city of Brașov  and it is easily accessible by road. There are regular buses  which serve the 12 km route between Brașov and Poiana Brașov (line 20 and 100). The resort also runs minibuses to take visitors from hotels to the base of the ski runs from where they can hike or take a cable car to Cristianu Mare or Postăvaru summits. Poiana Brașov is surrounded by four mountains: the already mentioned Postăvaru (1,799 m), Piatra Craiului (2,238 m), Bucegi (2,505 m) and Piatra Mare (1,848 m). Poiana Brașov has a temperate-continental climate.
